Senior Consultant and Transformational Coach
Darrel Combs is an internationally recognized trainer and consultant who has specialized in helping individuals, health professionals and corporations use intuition to create transformation since 1994. He has created and implemented educational, therapeutic and consulting projects in 21 countries around the globe with participants from more than 50 nations.
As a consultant, Darrel guides teams, divisions, companies through change processes by understanding complex systems dynamics and supporting employees to be PROACTIVE instead of REACTIVE. His main areas of professional interest and experience are in team development for intercultural and virtual teams, doing business with US and European Partners, Global Leadership, and the use of intuition/creativity in business.
As a transformational coach and trainer, Darrel supports long-term change for people and teams wanting to remove limiting beliefs, create focus, and leverage strengths. In a private praxis in Austria or onsite, he works with a wide variety of issues: strategic leadership, employee motivation and engagement, holistic Visioning, prevention and management of burnout, and cross-cultural conflict. He believes that the process of learning is an adventure best undertaken with the hand, head and heart. His strength lies in making learning come alive, whether it is on a sea kayak or in the seminar room.
Darrel has completed a 1st year Doctorate of Clinical Psychology program at the California Institute of Integral Studies, San Francisco, California, 1997. Darrel is currently finishing his PhD research in ecopsychology, traditional ecological knowledge, and leadership development among Nyikina Aboriginal men through Southern Cross University.
He is certified in the areas of conflict resolution, intercultural management, stress management (CISM, PTSD), Facilitation Trainer, extended DISC psychometric instrument, Ropes Courses, and various other adventure sports. He has presented at international conferences such as SIETAR, AEE and AEEE, and ASTD.
Darrel is married to a German national, has a son and 2 daughters and resides in Kaernten, Austria. Darrel speaks American English as his mother tongue and German and Spanish.
He has been working with Julian Geuder on different projects since 2005.
